DATA IMPORT
We realise that all councils will already use some sort of system to keep track of their licensed drivers and companies. It may be that the method used is simple text document or spreadsheet or perhaps something more sophisticated.  Taxi Driver data is different to any other system currently in use as it seeks to share information between councils in a standard and well structured manner. One of the services we offer is the ability to take existing data from you as a subscribing council and convert it into use within Taxi Driver Data.  This means for instance that if you can supply us with all of the details of your licensed drivers and companies we will append them to our database.  We see this as a huge time saving offer allowing councils to start using the system in a meaningful way immediately. The way in which the data is provided to us is obviously a factor in determining whether this can be done and it may be that some work would be needed to be done before this could be carried out.  In most cases however the import of data should not be an issue. Finally all of the data supplied to and subsequently used by the Taxi Driver Data on line application is kept on our own dedicated server which is backed up nightly ensuring that all information is kept safe.
