DRIVER INCIDENTS

Features

In addition to the ability to record details of drivers licensed by councils Taxi Driver Data provides a facility by which incidents in which a driver may have been involved also to be recorded.  This facility provides the real back bone of the system and allows the sharing of information between councils concerning drivers who may be banned in one area who then attempt to register in another whilst their original ban is in force.

We are very aware of the amount of time different council licensing departments spend on the phone with each other trying to obtain this information.  Taxi Driver Data makes information instantly available for licensing officers to be able to make appropriate assessments and decisions without the need to talk to each other beforehand.  It also eliminates the frustration of being unable to contact colleagues when they are unavailable.

Taxi Driver Data is in effect an intelligence system built to the same standards as those used by Police forces throughout the UK.  It is fast, efficient, and as long as councils keep their data up to date, accurate.

As part of the incident recording process an expiry date showing when the sanction against a driver ends is required to be input at the time the incident is recorded.  This is later used by the system to remind councils that such sanctions have expired allowing them then to archive or delete the incident according to their councils established procedures.
